Hungerford Survivor
Alison Chapman was sixteen when the Hungerford Massacre took place in 1987.
In full camoflage, Michael Ryan went on an afternoon's killing spree in the small Berkshire town, murdering sixteen people and injuring fifteen others. Alison and her mother were shot and injured. Amongst the victims were Ryan's mother, his neighbours and a policeman. Holed up in the local school and surrounded by police marksmen, Ryan shot himself.
