We continue to develop our Second Screen project ideas, that's them above. We talk through the technical feasibility and our reasons for working on them. This helps us prioritise and cluster until we're down to three possible ideas to propose to the Springwatch team plus some longer-term ideas that need development. I'm thinking that we can spend a couple of weeks working up a pitch to the producers that will include some initial working prototypes plus some mock-ups. Chris B has finished off the digital programme guide, and with help from Sean, we've now got a complete end-to-end system between an iPad and Myth TV, with channel notifications flowing in both directions, ready for some in-home trial research.

We review the power meter work. Duncan's been blocked by a number of things, both from the set-top box development side (which we seem to be pioneering with our app) and from the power meter API side (or at least its interaction with Flash apps). We decide that the work will continue when it becomes unblocked but we'll move onto new things in the meantime.

The EEG headset work is progressing and Tony has trained himself to generate a number of different commands. He's rigged the system to send commands to an Arduino-based IR controller to turn a TV on and off or move the channel up and down. But it seems to have too many false positives to be useful right now. Every time he turns round to talk it turns the TV off.

Otherwise there's been a bit of tidying and wrapping up. Chris N has fixed a few outstanding issues on the Digital Friendship site. With some help from A&M we've started setting up a slideshow server for our RadioDNS prototype, which is also now portable. Following the launch of Zeitgeist, Sean is documenting it thoroughly including a forthcoming in-depth technical blog post. And the SyncTV work is done and now has some demonstrable clock and graph visualisations. Paul's settling in and getting to know his team and planning some infrastructure stuff. We finish off with some work planning for the next couple of weeks - there'll continue to be some wrapping up, quite a lot of Springwatch prototyping and the start of some mobile augmented reality work.
