David Hendy is "intrigued by the relationship between radio's past and radio's future ... I'd like to know - and I'm looking for ways to find out - exactly what it felt like for ordinary people to listen to radio in the earliest years, how it changed the way they thought about the world."

Here are several pretty graphs showing how artists are related, using last.fm data. I imagine some of the clusters and highly-connected nodes are interesting to study.

Some new features on Musipedia: "You can base your search on melody (i. e., pitch and rhythm), melodic contour, or just rhythm."

Wired reports on a multiplayer online game to be played whilst watching a TV reality show where you get points from other users clicking on your comments. "The funnier -- and often the meaner -- the comments are, the higher the player's score: The more comical or cutting the jibe, the more likely other players are to click on it, earning the scribe points."

And a couple of Radio Pop things from the community...

Jack Mottram has built a profile for the Movable Type Action Streams plug-in that will integrate your Radio Pop activity into your blog.

And Chris Keene has started to post his Pops to his Dipity timeline.
