The Glass Box for Monday
The Glass Box is the place where you can comment on what you heard on PM, interact with other listeners and get responses from the people who make the programme. This is proving to be a useful tool for us, and we hope, for you.
Just click on the "comment" link. If you've never commented on the Blog before - don't worry. There's a simple registration process you only have to go through once.
Don't worry either if you didn't catch the whole programme, or were busy doing other things and not giving us your full attention. If there was something that "caught your ear" we want to hear about it.
The Glass Box is named after the booth outside the PM studio where we all discuss the programme at 18.00 every weeknight. We try to be honest and constructive. Sometimes there is criticism, and the criticised get a chance to explain themselves.
And so it should be here. The people who make PM will read the comments posted, and will sometimes respond.
Well done, CQ!
Presumably a glass box has a glass ceiling. Rather a sinister thought.
Scottish negotiations
Missing 3 yr old - no progress - not overlong
Premature diagnosis A story well elicited.
Cops and guns. Well done.
Queen's visit. Shrub rubbish. "War (sorry, "Our work") is the surest path to peace."
Lord Wetherall, excellent piece.

Thanks, CQ, for giving up your Bank Holiday to present a well-constructed and interesting programme. Thanks, too, to Jeremy Rawlins - Well done!
Two items stood out for me - Lord Wetherall, a kind and affectionate tribute, and Hugh in Ireland, asking the right questions yet again, allowing those people most affected to demonstrate the true impact of political decisions on their everyday lives.
Well done Sequin, you kept them all under control and your timing was pretty near perfect - almost cutting them off in mid-sentence, but not quite!
Hi..to be honest it didn't feel too much like a Bank Holiday ( apart from watching the rain pour down outside the PM window ). Couple of random thoughts - private equity from Robert Peston - we talk a lot about the subject but I did appreciate his take on the story ( seeing and explaining it from those who work for these firms rather than how it impacts on the directors ) But I'll put my hand up and accept that it is a bit of a marmite issue.
I've had stones thrown at me in the past for covering royal stories - but Peter Hunt is a joy to listen to ( anyone else reminded of the Billy Connolly sketch after seeing pics in the Sunday papers of the White House being given a fresh coat of paint? ). Finally, not everyone happy with the immigration amnesty coverage. We set out with the intention of trying to find out how these things work in other countries..perhaps it would have been better to have left Billy Bragg on the cutting room floor. I'm on again tomorrow - Northern Ireland is likely to play big - mmmn more marmite? Your thoughts welcome.
No, Jeremy, we'll be looking forward to the NI coverage tomorrow. No doubt the wonderful Mr. Sykes will be contributing (we're great fans on the Blog of his humane style).
I must also apologise for having made two glaring typos when commenting about CQ's interview with Alan Johnson - I guess I'm so used now to typing in the name of your missing colleague that my fingers ran away with me.
Sorry if it upset anybody up there. Now go and have a few drinks while the sun's out!
Well Rupert, Jeremy, Carolyn, to make a Bank Hol different I'll confess it was Ironing with some of my fave CD's - so will confess I skipped PM and Radio 4 - just chilled out.
However to pick up a point from last Wednesdays Glassbox - from Simon Worrall and Anth - I was dismayed to discover that when 'Jazz' was launched in 'MONO' earlier this year to one of the DAB ensemble's it meant that two existing stereo channels 'Core' and 'Capital Life'were also reduced from stereo to mono.
Motto:- Think carefully before investing in a DAB Radio. Wait -- until you are sure it's 'future proof' and offers a quality service.
I promise to keep you up to date here on the PM Blog.
I see we now have the REAL glass box pictured in the gallery (along with Jeremy - nice to meet you, btw!)
Does somebody stand on a very tall ladder and sprinkle food down on you while you're having your post production meetings, Eddie?
My comment is that there ought to be one of these (box things) on Saturday, too. Also, please remind all relevant news readers/reporters/presenters that there is an 鈥極鈥 in the word 鈥榩olice鈥.
Hello Dr. H - Nice to catch you on one of your outings ...
Perhaps all the 'O's in police are being hoarded away somewhere? Do you think there's a reward system in operation for when, let's say, you've saved up ten of them?
That must be it.
P.S. IT issues are getting me down, but I will be back...
Hi Doc!
