I Love Being ... Mad
They're sick of just being medicated and marginalised. They're as mad as hell and they won't take it any more. I Love Being ... Mad, broadcasting tonight (Monday) at 9.00pm on 91Èȱ¬ THREE, investigates how and why the rights of people with mental illness are being as vociferously defended by some, just as much as gay rights and multi-culturalism.
The programme focuses on three people, all with a strong history of mental illness, and highlights , a South London-based organisation, staging a variety of events which try to highlight the creativity of so-called 'mad' people.
According to the programme's website, I Love Being ... Mad offers a rare insight into some of the alternative lifestyles of people with a mental illness, where they remain in control with or without medication.
The programme will first be shown tonight at 9.00pm, with repeats on Tuesday 4 April at 12.55am and Thursday 6 April at 2.35am.

i had a very hard childhood. mental and physical abuse. my step dad is now in 24h care. he got 4 years and did 2. he is getting everything he needs. but i am now 37. i got ran over by a taxi in 1997 feb 2. i have now suffered very bad brain damage. i have had one side of my skull replaced. i received no care or help. i am now eperleptic. seizure/fits. panick attacks and mental illness. i see and hear things. cant remember my way home.i wet my self ect....the n.h.s benifits and housing benifits treat me like im a drug addict or alcaholic . i live on my own and i am trying to be rehoused so my friend and lover can move in with me and look after me. i still have had no help from the council. im trying to set up a meeting with charles clark in norwich. may be he will get things moving sooner.
