Holland's Inge de Bruijn wins the 100m butterfly at the 2000 Olympics

Holland's destroyed the Olympic 100m butterfly record at the 2000 Games in Sydney.

In the heats, she brought the mark down from 58.62 seconds to 57.60 and in the final went 0.99 seconds faster to set a new best of 56.61.

In all, De Bruijn knocked two seconds off the previous mark set by China's Hong Qian at the 1992 Barcelona Games.

De Bruijn also won the gold medals in the 50m and 100m freestyle and picked up a silver in the 4x100m freestyle relay race.
