American Boy
Finally the rest of the UK has caught on to what we knew YEARS ago and that her old record label failed to see - that Estelle is a star and with the right record, she'd go FAR. Well, she is the official UK Chart number one this week with the anthem that is 'American Boy'. Post your commentIt's a shame that I can't find the video of her singing "Uptown Top Rankin'" anywhere. It was a track on Joni Rewind's album from a few years ago and from what I remember filmed at places like Dub Vendor in London.
Dont understand the hype. In the grand scheme of things, a very average artist.
Hats off to her.
She's been grafting for a while although as I keep saying it's a terrible shame that it took an american artist to feature on her song and an american label to back her for her home country, UK to take proper notice of her. Still I salute her. 1980 is still regularly played on my ipod. BIG TUNE.
Where's the video of "Just Becoz"? that was my isht. Who knew that Skitz tune had a video? Nice. Glad to see her on top.
