So, as promised, here are a few videos and photo's to give you a unique look at from my perspective. I shot the video on my little digital camera so don't expect !!
This first video is our arrival for race day. Thanks to we were a fair drive away and this was shot about 7.30am. I saw the smoke coming from the hillside...not sure what it was but it encouraged me to get out my camera. As you can see is in the car and we have a rather well known driver too...

Well, that was some four-day blast in . It almost felt like the first race all over again because just as Eddie, DC and particularly I got used to wandering the pit lane like three nosy fans with decent access...we get shoved on a boat for the weekend!!
Yeah, I know what you're thinking, on a boat in Monaco...hard life Jake...but as much as I felt like the cat that got the cream, I did kind of miss being in the heart of the action.
There is something that always makes me tingle when I am live, feet from the drivers while they put their helmets on and prepare for battle, so it was a shame not having that connection.

I feel weird. I'm sitting writing this at my dining room table, dinner is almost ready but I have a sneaky suspicion I won't be able to eat much tonight.
You know how you felt when you were six years old and it was 5pm on and the sooner you sleep the quicker it's Christmas? Well that's just how I feel right now... I want to go to bed so I can wake up and it's time for... !
When I knew I was going to be doing this job, there were two races that I immediately got excited about for very different reasons.
farewell to Formula 1 will be a really emotional, possibly quite mournful day but an event I am totally honoured to be charged with bringing to the nation's living rooms.
The other race that gets my heart beating faster than usual is the point and squirt around the this weekend, and for me it's all about walking in the shadow of motorsport history.

So, win number four for ... the lead gets ever bigger. I'm writing this before jumping on a plane home and although I've not had too long to work out what to write I wanted to upload something as quickly as possible.
Quick story for you. I was chatting to Jenson in the hospitality area before the race and, despite the fact he was about to jump in his car and battle to victory, he was actually asking about me! How was it going, was I enjoying my first season in the pit lane?
I imagine many other people would be lost in their own thoughts considering the situation. I was impressed and thought I'd share it with you. Â His seems like a top bloke, too.
Talking of top, I didn't make it onto the third and top floor of the this weekend. Â I was actually talking about the teams' houses on wheels with someone from McLaren, who quickly reprimanded me for calling it a motorhome... I think McLaren refer to theirs as a 'brand centre'. Well, whatever they like them to be known as, they are mind boggling!Â

It's been a strange mix of emotions for me over the past few weeks concerning the two sports I love the most.
While I'm still thanking my lucky stars that I've been plunged into the centre of one of the most that I can remember, my excitement has been tempered somewhat by my other passion - .
And while there's a bit of a break from the racing before we all head to Barcelona for round five, my attention turns to this Sunday.
