Why don't any of you have the guts to ask Nick Bourne what he thinks about Darren Millar's comments on homosexuality?

Betsan - you ran your labour/plaid story on the back a completely anonymous comment. You are now getting cold feet about something said in front of a hundred people......

Millar should be ashamed of his comments. He works for Open Doors. Just check that organisation out for yourself and make your own mind up on the man.

How about an in depth studio discussion with all the Clwyd West candidates on the school curriculum and the equalities agenda. I'd be up for it. So would Plaid and the Lib Dems I guess. Warwick Nicholson the UKIP man would be there too.

Given the atmosphere in Ruthin last night it certainly would make good viewing - and would nail the problem of did he really say "homosexuals are sinners"? So what's the problem?

I was listening tonight, and was impressed that he was articulate on what all the political ramifications on what the Democrats are doing with their talks in South Carolina today. What will happen to the political strategist in Washington ? Will they yield to the left or right ? One can only wonder, as we are precepts in this mindful dogma of what our politicians can or will do for us. At what level will you say that any parent who replaces their child with a pet, and will go to extremes to pay the veterinarian immediate funds or payments, I do say that it's beyond ones intellegiance. Darren Millar must resign,I was at the meeting the night before last and his views on creationism and homosexuality shocked us all.

I do not know of anyone in the hall who will vote for him now

All I know is if you took Mr Millar's comments and replaced the word 'gay' with the word 'black' or 'Jew' or even 'women' - he would have been forced to resign.

But all we've had from the powers that be is a deafening silence. What are their views?

I do not think that is right that they have said nothing as it makes it look like they do not care.

From todays Daily Post it seems quite clear what Darren Millar said so why can't the 91热爆 spell it out and challenge Nick Bourne and get his view?

this is a non-story...gutter politics from labour - worried that the minister is going to lose. there were no journalists there and all you have been going on is alun pugh's press release taking comments out of context

Sorry to disappoint you but I don't come at this story from 'labour gutter politics', and you will see from my other comments on Betsan's and Vaughan Roderick's blog that I will also criticise both Labour and Plaid Cymru when they are deserving of it. I try not to be blinkered by part politics and look at the big picture!

If anybody has read this article about these alleged comments then they will see how incredibly vague and non-descript it is!

Nobody can quote anything that went on except the Labour man whose career is at risk! Coincidence? I think not!

I admit, for a story to reach this magnitude it does show the lack of common sense that this Conservative candidate has in handling the media. However, the choice is between a Conservative or a complete idiot Labour AM to represent Clwyd West... again.

Just read the Daily Post article I am outraged that such outdated views should be being spouted by a Conservative Candidate in the twenty first century.

The fact that he could not give a simply yes or no answer, to me, speaks volumes.

All the other party candidates said he said the same thing.

Given its a Labour-tory marginal it was in the other parties interest NOT to agree with the Labour version, unless of course there was something in it.

He does not seem to have handled this gay crisis at all well, so how good can he be?

Looking at the result in Clwyd West with Darren Millar's comfortbale victory, it seems the rather pathetic Labour smear campaign failed.
