Before you anoraks put your calculators away, a warning that you'll need it in the morning.

The Western Mail are splashing their own poll on the front page tomorrow. 'Corporal Jones' of Plaid Cymru will be more than happy.

Having sat in on a count last time round, watching the dawn come up as the list seats were calculated, I suspect many people are over-estimating the amount of effective change which the current polls will deliver.
Look at Labour's polling for the lists last time, and then remind yourself how many (?) list seats they had in the last Assembly.
If Labour lose constituency members (which they may well) but remain the largest party in terms of votes, they will pick up list seats (which in turn means the other parties will lose some) and the final result may be more similar to 2003 than is widely predicted.

Frankly I have little faith in opinion polls getting it right with Assembly elections, wasn't the ITV/NOP opinion poll way out in 1999 and 2003?

Come on Betsan. I know the 91热爆 don't want to rock the boat, but are you going to ask Cameron today whether Millar should resign?

With only 6 days to go expect the bookies wont be far behind. Its weird to see your name up on the bookies tote board as I witnessed when I stood at the 2005 General Election for the Vale of Clwyd.

Darren Millar can't dropped as candidate this close to an election but I did just hear another Tory candidate say on Radio Wales that there is no place for his views in the Tory Party.

We cannot have people sitting on assembly commitees such as equal opportunities or education saying that "homosexuals are sinners" or creationism should be taught in welsh science lessons. The Bible must be taught in Welsh schools - but in RE not Biology lessons.

"Betsan Powys"- there is no apathy in your outlook for the betterment of Wales.

Plaid Cymru is THE Party for Wales and all Welsh folk Should emphasise this by voting with their feet.

Remember St David's words- "It's the little things that count".

Nonny

If you read our online story you'll see David Cameron denies that Millar said what Labour claim he said. For what it's worth the Lib Dem candidate couldn't recollect exactly what he said and the Plaid candidate hasn't come back to us.
