Tory candidate setback

That result in Dumfries - where Labour won - is a huge personal setback for the Tory candidate, Murray Tosh.
He's been an MSP since 1999 but is now almost certainly out of Parliament because he's lowly ranked on the tory list in the south of Scotland.
Mr Tosh was the deputy presiding officer in the last Parliament.

Well, the Fife Central coverage was a bit of a fiasco there - pulling away as they start to announce the result, then going back just in time to hear "has been elected" without hearing WHO...
One less BLue in the Parliament will not be a big loss I would suggest, but that makes me sound bitter and negative, mush like the campaign mounted by every party bar the SNP.
Just noticed Alex Ferguson elected for Galloway & Upper Nithsdale.
Might cheer the Tories up a little.
But who is going to be the new Manchester United manager?
Jim Langlands ( in the Philippines )
one time SNP candidate for a ward in Kilmarnock ( another SNP gain I see )
It hurts me very much to hear that MSP's who dont get reallected with recieve a golden handshake of near 拢26,000 !! If i work somewhere for four years I'm only entitiled to four times my weekly wage not half my yearly wage why is it the MSP's line their own pockets and dont have to fight to get this payment like the normal working person?? Therefore with MSP's getting this golden handshake do local councillors who fail to get re-allected get half there wage as a golden handshake to??
Is there anyone out there who knows.
