Tip from the north-east is that Alex Salmond has managed to take Gordon - from third place behind the Tories and the incumbent LibDems.

I don't want to believe a "tip" I will wait for the official news. Good news if it's true though!
I bet the Lib-dem supporters dont react like the SNP shower in Glasgow!
MP for Banff & Buchan as well as MSP for Gordon? How will he be able to carry out both jobs properly?
It's not a big suprise, Salmonds 'Star Power' was always going to help the SNP in that neck of the woods. Would have liked to have seen him battle it out on the list though!
I wonder if his wee chum Sturgeon will finally get elected outright?
Do you not think that deep down Nicola Sturgeon will be a wee bit annoyed? She's been an effective SNP leader in the Parliament and now Alec Salmond ( who didn't stand for the Parliament for the first 8 years ) now swans in to maybe become first minsiter and, I assume, the SNP parliamentary leader...
It's true! Fabulous!
