Come on, feel the buzz

Ah, those delightful tech gremlins. I was a good boy and filed a post just after midnight Davos time, only to wake up and find that it鈥檚 disappeared into thin air.

Ok, here we go again.

Davos is getting under way at last, and the buzz is building up.

Last night we had the first press briefings, and the forum organised a welcome cocktail for people who attend the WEF鈥檚 annual meeting here for the first time, and there was definitely a buzz in the air.

The reason for all that excitement? Well, the great thing about Davos is that it doesn鈥檛 really matter who you talk to, because most people here have got a story to tell 鈥 about great ideas, innovation, commitment or just plain old power.

Starting a tad smaller on Tuesday night, Davos brought together for the first time the bloggers reporting from the forum.

I have a confession to make. I felt a bit like a fraud there, because I鈥檓 a blogging virgin. This is my first blog.

It was slightly awkward standing there between some of the biggest names in the world of blogging (I鈥檒l spare you the name dropping).

A blog about your first blog. At least it's more interesting than a blog about the World Economic Forum.

Well done on popping your cherry.

I wouldn't feel any shame in this being your first blog. It is not about how much you write or on what subject.

If you have a compelling style and good stories to tell people really don't care whether you are writing your first or 100th blog.

You are no doubt in the presence of many great blogging evangelists and the best thing to do is learn off them!

Good luck and keep the posts coming!

If a blogger writes about blogging, and is only read by bloggers, does a tree falling in the woods make any sound?
