I'm new, and I'm already in trouble

Afternoon all,

My name's Matt and I'm the new Assistant Producer on the show. I've been at Radio 1 for nearly a year now and in that time have worked on pretty much every show on the station, from Fabio & Grooverider to Sara Cox to Scott Mills, and then back again. As of now, I'm full time on Team Moyles.

Well. What an initiation this morning. Day 3 and I've already cocked up...

- it doesn't bode well, does it?

If you didn't catch the show, I managed to bodge up recording Duncan and Peter from Dragons' Den reviewing the team. The levels were way off, namely because I didn't put Peter's mike up in the studio, so it sounded as though he was stuck in some subterranean cave. I was hoping they wouldn't notice.

Unfortunately Chris twigged straight away, and punished me by getting the team to give me a good ol' fashioned 'bundle'. Each one of them jumped on me - their hands were everywhere - and Dom in particular seemed strangely excited (although he maintains it was his mobile phone protruding from his pocket).

I've consequently got a fractured collar bone and bruising around the abdomen, but hey, it goes with the territory.

In other news, I'm manically preparing all the odds and ends this afternoon for our Gag Idol night tomorrow in Essex. It's my first proper gig with the Moyles team, so I'm quite excited. We'll put up all the best pictures here, so make sure you check back later.

Cheers for reading this far. I'm sure you've lost the will by now, so I'll sign off.

M

P.S. Bizarrely, I noticed Jo Whiley strolling off at the end of her show today with one of my blow-up dolls. The mind boggles...

Hi Matt, want to send you a Welcome present, something that'll feature on Dragons' Den this Monday. To personalise gift specially for you, who's your favourite or least favourite celeb or sports person?

Angelina? Kylie?
George Bush as least fave?

Let me know and your very own Youdoodoll will be on its way to you.........
