The Queen and Sore Bottoms

Carrie
Hey there bloggers and blogettes - I've managed to skive blog duties for a while but I couldn't escape the hot seat today what with sore bottoms and walking like John Wayne and all..I know not why but for some reason I let Captain Carrie talk me into the London to Brighton Cycle Ride for the British Heart Foundation..its about 56 miles..I have done it before and I know that there are two absolute nightmare hills..One is really tight in a country lane and you get caught up between people walking (ie me) and those really fit types who like to show off cycling as fast as they can all the way up it and shouting at those who walk it!!

Then there's that Beacon at the end..Last time I got so worked up about it I was almost in tears before I even started the climb..Silly bird!! Not going to make any attempt at that one this year and just going for a day out and enjoy a few picnics on the way..and maybe a couple of pints..Should take about 5 or 6 hours I reckon..My other half is quite fit tho (he does like triathlons and stuff) so worried about not being able to keep up..Definitely packing the bikini as its meant to be quite sunny on Sunday so hoping to ride straight into the sea!!
Before that something very exciting!! Its the Queens' birthday thingy this weekend - Trooping the Colour and all that..I'm going along, should be an amazing experience - Captain Carrie will be in full regalia - with like a sword and everything - hello ladies!!!
Dom reckons I should take a mic along just to see if I can grab a word with her majesty - am thinking she probably has more important things to do..
Anyway must dash as got to sort out a helmet and padded shorts for Sunday! What a beautiful image!!
Have a good one!
Lots of love
Carrie

We just to wanted to say a huge thanks for taking part in the British Heart Foundation's London to Brighton Bike Ride. The money raised from this event is really important, as it goes towards helping the thousands of men, women and children whose lives are affected by heart disease.

So best of luck for Sunday from everyone at the British Heart Foundation! Enjoy the ride and have a great day. Let’s hope and the sun will be shining for you to do some sunbathing at Brighton!

See you Sunday.

Thanks again from the British Heart Foundation
