Packing with a hang over is not good

Carrie

Just a day to go then till we go off to Germany - can't believe its come round so quickly. I am so behind with my packing - not the best timing then to go out to the Glamour Awards and have a few white wines and 3 hours sleep. My head hurts but I saw loads of celebs so it was well worth it..Except the lovely Jocelin (who looked fabulous by the way) blurted out all our guess who's!!! Anyway back to the packing - I have done all my washing but think I am short of a few t-shirts and pants so am off to the shops this morning to sort that out. Like all the girls I too am having massive dilemmas on what to take..As Aled's already grassed me up for taking the golf clubs…well the England team are out there playing a few holes so why shouldn't I?!

One thing that’s definitely going in the case is my England shirt with my name on! Brilliant.Am really so excited now its going to be amazing! I am sharing a room with Rachel as Aled and Joce decided to snub us!! Am sure our's will be the cleanest and most girly! Its been so cold out there apparently - raining lots too but thankfully the sun is shining now! Really don’t want to leave Dom behind - we're kind of joined at the hip so it will be very strange without him. But I'd better go and get that case filled - is one enough - am thinking by the pile of clothes I have will need about ten! Not sure what the washing facilities are like and take it from me there's now way I'm turning my undercrackers inside out!

Try not to miss Dom too much, at least you will get to chat to him on radio in the morning.

Hoped you managed to get your 10 suitcases of clothes through customs and hoped you remembered your named England shirt - does it say 'Drunk' and the number '1' on the back?

Not sure if you will actually get time to play gof while your out there but good luck with your game if you do and dont forget to get your grip right if you end up meeting the England Team on the fairway oo-er missus!!

Morning Carrie and the rest of the team !

I'll be following your show on Sirius as I'm in the States ( after 39 wonderful years in the UK ). They're actually showing the whole tournament live here this year, instead of just following the USA team. I think they've realised that there are other people in the world other than just Americans ! LOL.

So, it will be listening to the Chris Moyles show til 10am, a couple of hours of Jo Whiley, then watching the matches from 12am onwards.

C'mon England !

Mark - an expat in the US.

P.S. we don't have to worry about the weather this time of the year 70 - 90 degrees all the way from May to September :)

Hey Carrie,

I'm English but currently living in Germany for the year (and missing radio 1 terribly - the internet's just not the same!). The weather has been a bit cold recently but was warmer today and is apparently going to get quite hot! So bring your summer clothes!
Have a good flight,

Hi Carrie,

What is it with newsreaders and repeating the first paragraph?! Oh well, will we see you on tv this World Cup Carrie? That would be nice.

I can't believe you're sharing rooms, i thought you were big showbiz stars. Enjoy the golf and don't have too many bogies.

Bye bye xx
