We Are Scientists - Chris arrowed

The other day, I had the pleasure of talking to Chris Cain, the witty formerly-moustachioed bass player from boffin-popsters We Are Scientists. I wanted to quiz him about chick lit (the name of their next single, you see), chick flicks, chick rock and all manner of artistic endeavours which have been decreed to be for women only. And I did, once we'd had a brief chat about rock hotels, We Are The Physics and burning drum kits.

This interview contains the following observation: "People are having sex all the time these days, it doesn't seem to help."

That's philosophy, that is. Or if it isn't, it's eroto-cynicism. Something involving long words, anyway.

Or ...

Note: Any opinions expressed within this interview about the films of Richard Curtis and what they may or may not say about carers are not necessarily those of the 91Èȱ¬, We Are Scientists, or Richard Curtis himself. They're MINE!

Here's the video for 'After Hours', from the band's album 'Brain Thrust Mastery', which is out now...
