Sound

...with the music of Sound. Sound being the new 91Èȱ¬ music TV show for Saturday afternoons, created as an antidote to, well, NOT having a regular 91Èȱ¬ music TV show which doesn't feature 'tasty' boogie-woogie piano and a man called Jools.

Well, OK, that's the snarky version. Sound is also a new music TV show, presented by Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw, in which the hottest bands of now get to show their wares in a variety of outside-y type locations, or take people on a guided tour of their home town, or go shopping with cameras, or...

Well, there's a lot of ideas flying around at the moment, and they're all pretty good.

The first show, which is tonight at 5:25 on 91Èȱ¬2, features performances from Hard-Fi, the Wombats, Nicole Scherzinger and Kano, and a live lounge orchestral doodad from the Hoosiers. And that's in addition to contributions from Kanye West, Kate Nash, One Night Only and Jack Penate.

There's even a new website for the show, brought to you by 91Èȱ¬ Switch (with a little bit of ChartBlog thrown in), which, apart from telling you what's going to be happening in future episodes, contains such gems as this Wombats interview.

CAUTION: THIS VIDEO CONTAINS GASES OF AN UNPLEASANT NATURE

There, now we're all feeling a bit queasy, time to run away...
