Westlife
We would really like to be able to launch into how fresh these guys are sounding, breathing new life into the pop ballad and bringing joy to mums everywhere, but sadly no such luck.

Well the joy to mums bit probably still stands, but what about the rest of us? They've got lovey dovey down to perfection; but to the point where all the beautiful, shiny lyrics just sound like mush. And that's a shame, because when you actually listen to what the guys are singing, they've got some poetic stuff going on.

This is the usual kind of thing you can rely on these guys to produce. You've got the pretty lyrics, the piano-heavy underlying drama, and of course the key moment in any Westlife songåthe 'get off your stool' drum roll bit. Shame they couldn't do something a smidgen different, sigh.

Released: November 6th
