Oh yes footie fans you're in for a treat this summer. Jose Mourinho will be joined by co-hosts Wayne Rooney and Sven-Goran Eriksson on 91Èȱ¬ Three throughout the World Cup 2010. The boys will be bringing you the latest insights into all the action in South Africa on their topical phone-in show Special 1 TV.

The Special One is convinced that signing to 91Èȱ¬ Three is the right move:
'But of course. Why not? They are fantastic. They are broadcasting champion. I am champion and I am also maker of champions and so I will make them even more champion channel.'

Modest as ever.

And if that isn't enough enough for you then wait until you hear who else will be joining them. Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, Steven Gerrard and David Beckham will all be offering their own unique perspectives on the beautiful game. Wait there's more - Barack Obama, yes the USA football team's number one fan, will also be joining in on the debate.

Special 1 TV starts on 91Èȱ¬ Three on Friday 11th June at 10.30pm.

Plus we'll be bringing you some exclusive online videos that you'll only be able to watch right here on the 91Èȱ¬ Three blog.

91Èȱ¬ Three will be showing some World Cup matches. Visit the to find out more.

    Thanks to 91Èȱ¬ TV & Caboom/Mario Rosenstock & Damian Farrel & co.
As the shows greatest supporter i would like to thank you on behalf of all the members of my online activities for & on behalf the show.
Good luck to you all & I'm sure a huge success on your hands as the show was only available on that terrible sports network(we don't use the "S" word)that went bust a year ago.
We have been waiting for so long in the hope that someone with sense would take the show on - having recognised it's genius & it's innovative attitude toward the Internet content on YouTube etc & the sheer writing & performance talent of the producers/talent.
11 meetings with RTE umming & rrrr-ing then then Jose's favourite Auntie steps in & agrees a deal in one morning.
Our faith in the 91Èȱ¬ has been restored...we prey for success & for a return on a permanent basis for the next premier league season.
    Be Champions

    Hurts like bad tooth!!

I had become a cult follower of Special 1 TV and was more than exhilarated to learn that the Beeb was bringing back the show.

However, I reside in Rwanda East Africa which means I like hundreds of my friends will not be able watch the show online. Please 91Èȱ¬ 3 make it available for people beyond the UK as thousands world over had become addicted to the show on youtube.

Please allow the likes of Doitchampions to post it online.

    Do it!

  • Comment number 7.

Really glad its back, even if it is just for the world cup.

First of all, thank you so much 91Èȱ¬ for bringing this show back to tv for the world cup. I hope it attracts enough viewers so you give it a weekly episode throughout the new premier league season (whether it contionues on bbcthree or by giving it a segment in MOTD)

Second, to José, very nice, welcome back special one.

Here is a question for the show, who is your favourite to win the 2010 world cup and what do you think of Sven pimping himself to be next Liverpool manager, stay champion!

Fantastic. Great to have the Special One back! Missed him terribly during the regular season, as did many of my friends. I know Jose will be very busy with his Real project, but we all hope 91Èȱ¬3 will be able to engage him for the upcoming regular season, the EPL is just not complete without him. We have our tanks ready! Wish we could watch it live on the website, but being in the US we can not unfortunately. Many thanks though to 91Èȱ¬3 and Doitchampions for getting the shows to Youtube for us to enjoy. Really appreciate that. If we may, we have one request and one question for Jose.

We would like It to sing the Ivory Coast national anthem.
Jose, how many Champions League titles do you plan on winning?

    Do it. Be champions.

  • Comment number 11.

That was brilliant; can't wait for the next one.
Maybe you could extend it to 10 mintues?

  • Comment number 12.

Thank You 91Èȱ¬. This show is popular among "soccer" fans in these United States. I heard many comments about the show's return during the USA v. England match today. Please keep show the show for the full season and Be Champions!

hi great to see the special one back its brilliant and hope bbc keep it on to really funny i always want more of it BE CHAMPIONS

@doitchampions...Good to see the show back but in fairness for all their faults RTE were hardly going to take this up. They have their own long running sketch, Aprés Match, for the World Cup and dont show any live Premier League football. And as usual the 91Èȱ¬ website is practically useless if you dont live in the UK.

'Jose: 'Arry here. Look mate, howdya handle players' mothers?? Stroppy little prats I can 'andle, but now Wilson Palacios' mum's rantin' 'airdryer stuff at me. I was brought up not to be lippy to ladies, yer know.........now if it was 'is dad............

You 'ad Ronaldo's mum on at you yet? Appreciate a tinkle from you mate.

Bale's not for sale at any price though........'

Wonderful news couldn't wait for It! I love this show, delighted it's coming back! I’m glad that one of the few truly funny shows has gotten a second chance. Ought to be interesting, the interaction between Ronaldo and Mourinho, plus Sven is always good for laughs.
Agreed with # 4 – I'm surprised it's more popular in States than in England! More love for the beautiful game in America is always a good thing. Will it be available via the YouTube channel? The 91Èȱ¬ tends to protect its online content via IP restriction. I’m sure I can find a way to watch it Well done 91Èȱ¬.
