It might not be possible on freeview, But there is plenty of unused streams on sky you could broadcast #bbctorchcam on. The demand is there if you check Twitter and Facebook

At 26th May 2012, Torch On Red wrote:Please Please look into having the live feed of the #bbctorchcam on via the Red Button, I understand that you have some prior allocated programmes/content but surely during periods where you will just show repeats or so on, as only one stream on freeview you could show the live coverage at the times when you have free slots and at times when you have free slots (No Torch cam on ) you could show highlightes of the past days torch relay. On other media sources where you can show multi streams such as freesat, sky and virgin please could you get that bbctorchcam live shown. There are so many people out there in the uk that would love to see the faces of the tourchbearers carrying through the towns and cities with the streets lined with people. I also believe that this would encourage more people to get out and line the streets having seen the town or city 50 miles away with packed streets. We were constatly being reminded by people involved with LONDON 2012 that we should embrace the Olympics. My question to you is how can we really embrace the Olympics when the Torch isn't going through every town or city(impossible i know) so why not let those that can not get to a place it is visiting watch the stream on tv. At the end of the day i have had this confirmed by Roger Mosey that the 91Èȱ¬ Torch Cam has been paid for by the 91Èȱ¬ so in this case it should be available to all not just those with internet access. Crazy how a torch bearers family in america can watch but and elderly relative living to far away to travel in the uk with no internet access can not see them carry that flame.
