Strictly Come Dancing

Sir Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly are your hosts for a 2 night Strictly spectacular weekend. In Friday's live show Alex Jones, Anita Dobson, Audley Harrison, Dan Lobb, Lulu, Robbie Savage and Russell Grant will take to the floor with their professional partners to perform either a whimsical Waltz or a cheeky Cha Cha Cha. On Saturday night it's the turn of Chelsee Healey, Edwina Currie, Harry Judd, Holly Valance, Jason Donovan, Nancy Dell'Olio and Rory Bremner to perform live to the nation with their partners.

This week there are no phone votes and no-one will be leaving the competition, but our couples are under pressure to impress the judges who will still be scoring.

Brand new for 2011. Press the red button to hear exclusive commentary from ex Strictly Champion Karen Hardy and a very special celebrity. Commentating live in a fun and informative style they will give you the lowdown of what's good, what's bad and what's highly entertaining on the dancefloor. Plus they will have plenty of titbits of backstage gossip to share.

Bang Goes the Theory

Bang LIVE on tour - Experience hands-on science with the Bang team in their live stage show full of surprises, insights and, of course, a bang or two! More than a quarter of a million people have now come to see the Bang Goes The Theory roadshow. As well as Dr Yan's interactive area, this year visitors were treated to Liz, Dallas and Jem performing a live stage show:

As part of the stage show, the Bang team use volunteers from the audience to help test their theories. Many items link to the TV show, but in the live show, we get hands-on and take them a stage further. Dallas is keen to see if he can use other sweets to beat Jem and his pear drops, so they play a game of "Glue-niversity Challenge"... Jem sets fire to his hands to help solve climate change... and the team fulfil every young child's dream by hosting Space Camp, testing volunteers with real astronaut training tests - the winner gets to launch a rocket, and the chance to go into space... And then there's fabulous fireworks, the edible insect challenge, birthday bingo, deconstructing the vacuum gloves and much much more. If you've not managed to make it to a Roadshow this year, this is your opportunity to find out what you've been missing.

This show was filmed in Bradford in September 11th, 2011.

Reel History

The Reel History of Britain retells the fascinating stories about how life in Britain used to be, through the film collections of the British Film Institute and other National and Regional Film Archives.

The 91Èȱ¬ Two series will focus on a different aspect of British life, highlighting the hardships and simple pleasures, as well as the enormous social changes that took place from the 1900s onwards.

Each film explores how ordinary British people worked, loved and lived in the 20th century, as seen through social documentaries, tourist information films, newsreels, and government propaganda films.

These films have now been carefully restored by Britain's film archives and are available to be seen again for the first time in generations. They showcase the people and places of Britain; their preoccupations, lifestyles and ambitions for the future. They reveal a forgotten Britain that has since changed forever.

Here on the Red Button we get to peek behind the scenes and get the inside story on the investments made in the Den each week. What attracted the Dragons to the business? What did the other Dragons make of the deals? And why did the entrepreneurs take the deal they did in the Den?

Comments

  • Comment number 1.

I'm surprised that now you have only five ETV streams, you don't get rid of the Sport Multiscreen stream and replace it with a text-based list (perhaps with something clever to preview the selected channel in the corner of the screen or something). It would essentially mean that we've lost only one ETV stream.

(Not saying there's anything I've noticed specifically this week that's missing - just making a general observation)

  • Comment number 2.

what would be REALLY useful is if we could listen to the Red Button stuff live online for those of us who don't have the red button connected on the Sky box... I don't see why it's not possible to get it streaming, maybe it's something that the technical bods at the 91Èȱ¬ could work on for us :-)
