Chris Moyles Show for Comic Relief
On 16th March Chris and Dave will attempt to break the record for the longest show ever broadcast on 91ȱ Radio 1 – and they’re doing it for Comic Relief.
They’ll be broadcasting from the studio and from 10 O’clock The Chris Moyles Show will keep going with each of the DJs coming in to help them present their shows and support Chris & Dave throughout.
And on top of all that – you’ll be able to see the WHOLE thing on your TV via the 91ȱ Red Button or online at bbc.co.uk/radio1!!

Songs Of Praise School Choir of the Year Competition
Currently in its ninth year the competition showcases the very best school choirs in the land as they attempt to win the coveted trophy “Songs of Praise School Choir of the Year”. Red button viewers can watch exclusive performances from schools in the semi-final stage.
12 schools from across the UK made it through to the semi-finals, 6 in the junior competition and 6 in the senior.
The Junior School semi-finalists are Dragon School - Oxford; Heath Mount School - Hertfordshire; Ysgol Pen Barras - Denbighshire; Gamlingay Village College – Bedfordshire; St. Edmund’s School – Surrey; Westfield County Primary School – East Yorkshire.
The judges are: former pop singer and vocal coach to the stars David Grant, the self styled people’s tenor Russell Watson, and conductor, musician, choir master, teacher and performer Suzi Digby.
In addition to their hymns, the three semi-finalists not going on to the final recorded the following inspirational songs:

Westfield County Primary School – Lord of all Creation

Red Nose Day on Red Button
To coincide with Red Nose Day night 'Comic Relief: Funny For Money' on 18th March, 91ȱ Red Button will be offering Sky viewers the facility to make a donation to Comic Relief by pressing red on their remote controls from 16th to 20th March. To complete the donation viewers should have their credit/debit cards handy and make sure their set-top box is connected to a telephone line.
91ȱ audiences have used the Red Button to raise over £10million for both Children in Need and Comic Relief since 2001.

Asian Music Awards
The UK Asian Music Awards celebrate the best in the British Asian Music Industry. Last year we brought you the first ever red button programme from the event.

Olivier Awards

The 91ȱ is televising the theatre awards for the first time since 2003.
The 35th Laurence Olivier Awards take place at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
The Olivier Awards celebrate the world-class status of London's theatre, and are the equivalent of Broadway's Tony Awards. They are attended by international film and theatre stars.
This year's ceremony will comprise unique theatrical entertainment created especially for the occasion, backed by the 91ȱ Concert Orchestra.
The 2011 awards also see the return of the Audience Award for the Most Popular Show, decided entirely by members of the public and presented by 91ȱ Radio 2.

Casualty Exclusives
On 12th March watch the first of two exclusive Casualty red button stories featuring Andrew, (played by Matthew Kelly) a Psychiatrist working on the Holby Psychiatric Ward. As he makes his rounds he takes delivery of a bizarre gift from a patient and attempts to establish a rapport with Dr Ruth Winters (played by Georgia Taylor). Will he be able to keep the Psychiatric Ward in order and give Ruth what she so badly craves?
The second exclusive Casualty red button story is available in April, as Doctor Ruth Winters (played by Georgia Taylor) continues to struggle being institutionalised and encounters a mysterious stranger on the Psychiatric Ward. What will she make of the odd guest and who will win their battle of wills?

91ȱ News School Report
Thursday 24th March is News Day for School Report.
Thousands of 11-14 year olds at hundreds if schools across the UK, will be filming their reports to a two pm deadline. Classrooms will turn into Newsrooms, so instead of normal lessons students will start their day discussing the news of the day. What stories will they choose? Who will they interview? And will they make the 2pm deadline?
Follow their day as it unfolds on 91ȱ News School Report LIVE and School report radio. We’ll be reporting from schools across the UK and on location in Salford, London, Birmingham, Edinburgh and rural Wales.

Secret Fortune – Play Along Quiz
A new for Saturday night game show: The National Lottery "Secret Fortune" 91ȱ1, hosted by Nick Knowles.
By putting your general knowledge to the test, and taking a couple of chances the studio contestants can win big cash prizes. Most digital viewers will be able to press their red button during the show to play along and answer the questions at home.

Christian O'Connell Show
The new Christian O' Connell show (Saturdays 9-11am) will start on Saturday 15 January, with Lenny Henry as a guest. The show will run until the end of May 2011.
Keeping the sprit of the traditional 5 Live Saturday morning 9am slot, the programme will be a mix of audience engagement, entertaining guests and, in true Danny Baker style, creative nonsense.

I asked about some Ceefac pages making it to Red Button. I've since spotted page 568 has disappeared from the Ceefax A-Z index page 199.
Presumably John Saunders no longer wanted to edit a page that could no longer be seen by those whose transmitters no longer carry the analogue TV signal.
