If you take a site like for example, they had originally built and maintained a site with tons of value to its visitors. But now, if you compare it to, say Bing, it offers pretty much the same amount of value. The difference is that it has built a phenomenal brand around itself and has become the 22% that is shown in the image above. Pretty much the same concept for Microsoft. Great value initially, then a huge brand.

This applies mostly to hardware related products such as phones as every new or successor to the previous has a different menu. Instead of maintaining the same style of menu, users have to re-learn the whole system. This is very true across phone brands.
Commercial structures have employed different strategies to make their services more accessible. For example, various Apartments in Kampala [Unsuitable/Broken URL removed by Moderator] have ramps for the physically disabled and easy access to apartments. Many Hotels in the world as well, for example the new Hotels with Pods 1-2-3 solutions, check-in, pay, and sleep. All required information is gleaned off the credit cards including Address and Phone numbers hence reining in the need to ask guests to fill out detailed forms that are not only time consuming but sometimes invasive. Different Kampala Hotels [Unsuitable/Broken URL removed by Moderator] also have put into place easier and faster check-in processes including kiosk check-ins that are automated. For automation such as this, usability has to be the number 1 priority.
