I would greatly prefer that the links takes you directly to the content rather than popping up in the page. In sites that already do in text linking that I visit using them does not stop me reading the article in a fragmented way. I simply open the link in a second window/tab to read after finishing with the article.

It does not - Is Flash available to every platform that Safari and Firefox can run on? No.
This is the whole reason people complain about the iPlayer because it’s developed in such a way it cannot be solely supported by the browser alone (and therefore potentially on all platforms).
Just giving the 91Èȱ¬ a friendly reminder :)

Full control of what and how you're watching (based on extrapolating the wimbledon stuff).
But - what have you done to the mobile coverage. It seems to have been stopped and I can't watch the live stream on my phone. It was great last week, now it seems to not be working.

I'd love to be able to compare with NBC, who have a completely different tack; they're not streaming live and are delaying online video coverage until after it's been on the telly. Quality is poor as well. Only about 8% of their audience are watching online.

Most sites that do it also use it appallingly; they mainly insist on telling me the obvious. To use the Wikkipedia screenshot on your page as an illustration, I do know what English and Rome are, if I didn’t I wouldn’t be at the stage of reading about Hadrian. If you want to link then have a list of the key word links under the article as a glossary. (You also supply a search box should someone want to know more.) Please don`t fall into the trap of `because we can we should`.
