Adam, that was stunningly glorious. I do hope you've familiarised yourself with The Point by now. The album is wonderful and the film is charm on a stick.

Just in case you weren't ego surfing at the right time, you'll be cheered to know that you (Adam Buxton) were coming in at number 8 in trending topics on the UK Twitter list. That is really, really special and so well deserved.

Great show! Where can one download / purchase tracks from The Ukulele Beatles? I'm not really a fan of The Beatles but the track that ended the show was fantastic.

I was gonna say Noah & The Whale's 'Five years time' would have been good. But then on second thought maybe the constant mentioning of wine and cigarettes is not something for the toddies. However they do point out that wine is stupid.

A further Toddler Tunes recommend: Kimya Dawson's 'Alphabutt' is a fun album specifically aimed at tinies. Twee but not remotely saccharine.

I was listening to this podcast while mowing the lawn, what a great surprise to hear a track from The Point! Shame the whole song doesn't make it onto the podcast.

I'd like to encourage everyone to check out the album (I've never seen the movie), my parents had it on vinyl when I was little, and I've loved it since then. Now that I have a daughter it was one of the first things that I sought out to play for her, along with Peter and the Wolf.

However, I've considered the tracklisting and can't help but think it was remiss of you to fail to feature a Rolf Harris track. Was this the result of some historical antipathy to the bearded antipodean entertainer?

Awesome show Adam! At one point I almost got emotional thinking about what lovely dads you all are. One small niggle - that bloody mobile phone song is stuck in my head and has been for a day now! Keep up the good work.

Another excellent show... also, in case you were hankering after some lullaby music of rock bands:

They have a good Radiohead one and I think there's a Pixies one somewhere. Radiohead is strangely suited to lullaby arrangement!

Interestingly Huey's "I'm here to save you..." slam on the excellent Ukulele Beatles track (album now out of print, £50 on Amazon 2nd hand) was edited out of his Listen Again show.

Is this down to some famous Buxton muscle-throwing? I hope you gave him a right seeing to.

Excellent show, Commodore Buxton (of the good ship Big Mixtape), though I'm shocked that there was no Fleetwood Mac on here!

Incidentally, my mum reliably informs me (she's a primary school teacher) that children go bananas for Rusted Root's "Send Me On My Way", and that it actually causes them to occasionally turn to violence and argue about whether it was on the Ice Age or the Matilda soundtrack, when in fact it was on both!

Flippin' heck, (most of) Supergrass get interviewed by Bucker and then promptly split up! Was it that impertinent question about Bad Dad supposedly calling them 'ugly' back in the day I wonder? Personally I wouldn't be convinced that Buckaroo Senior would say something so ungracious without supporting documentary evidence. Otherwise, this was another charming show, and almost made the idea of having children seem pleasant. Good luck to the pair of them in their new career in a new town.

Over in Radio 2 land, the radio-meltdown of 'Weller-gate' shook up the nation. I could almost hear Liz furiously kicking Adam's shins under the desk to stop the digging of an even deeper hole between him and the widely revered king of blue-eyed soul. Maybe if she hadn't been there, the potential kerfuffle would've been splashed all over the papers on the morrow. I fear the twain shall never be drinking buddies now, and probably won't be high-fiving each other on the streets of London. Was funny though.

Nice mix tape Ad-Man. As a father of a three year old the title intrigued me but didn't get chance for a listen live due to a combination of the above mentioned three year old, the sunny weather and an adventure playground. Caught it on the iPlayer though and throroughly enjoyed.

My little un, when he was under one, was a bass-junkie, particularly loving The Prodigy's Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned album, so I am with you on your Prodigy selection.

Now he's grown up a little he seems to be big into anything resembling barbershop quartet music or the likes. The (Stand By Me) Lollipop song featured on an advert for something last year and I remember he and all his similar aged cousins were loving that. Also if anyone's seen Pixar's Cars (which surely anyone with a small child will have - A MILLION TIMES!!) the section where McQueen lights up the town plays a peice of music (Life Should be sweet) that he used to send my lad hypnotically into a little jig/head bop

I have a bonus child (stepson!) so all the fun for free for me! I am sure we are not the only grown ups currently being serenaded by ENDLESS singing of the Pete Burns classic 'You Spin Me Round Like A Record' or whatever the heck it is called, THANKS VERY MUCH ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: THE SQUEAKWAL.

Other more enjoyable (for me) things he likes are Madness (Baggy Trousers in fact), Lily Allen, Artic Monkeys and the Text the Nation jingle!

Very much enjoyed the show, and am eagerly awaiting the next one :)

I really really really really loved this show Adam. As well as the lovely mix of music (particularly 'Not Yet 3') it was wonderful to hear men talk so openly and sweetly about their children and the joys of fatherhood. It's something I rarely ever hear in the media.

Just about to start Tanned Aid next. Looking forward to it!

my daughters always appreciate the aphex twin and have done since they were bubs. There is already a great kids comp' of extremely decent music called "for the kids". terrible title of course, hate the reference to juvenile goats, but some hugely enjoyable tunes on it (actually i think they have a second album now) such as bare naked ladies and tom waits. cannot recommend it enough. i don't mention this with the aim of raining on your parade mr. buxton, i am a committed fan of both your solo career and your other work paired with mr. cornish. greatly enjoyed, please don't stop.

Re: Weller-gate - I want to know what was written on the mysterious sinister note left outside the studio by the Well-meister after his band stormed off!!

The Bux may have alienated a whole swathe of unamused hardcore Mods, but I feel sure he's ticked off one of his 'to do before I die' boxes. Even after it was obvious the jape had gone over like a Led Zeppelin, he was still chuckling like a Wizard of Oz munchkin.

I think the fill-ins for whatshisface went pretty well overall, and as long as it didn't hamper any 6 Music arsing about, I'd be amenable to seeing the Brigadier in that seat again when the Tarbster takes over the spot permanently. Marvelling at just how uber sociable/chatty she is, I mused to myself, "Do you know, I think even if the lady were asked to spout forth on atomic physics she would have a flippin' solid crack at it.", and just a little later she references the Hadron collider in Switzerland like it was nuthin'. Gave me chills!

I also enjoyed Buckules and Tarbuckules. I really want to like Paul Weller because I do admire his politics...but I could see his grumpy face through the radio waves and it wasn't endearing. Cheer up!

Who woulda thunk it though, huh? Not I!

The Modfather is a tricky one to please under most circumstances I suspect. If anyone can produce a pic of him beaming like he got the cream (or even not mildly annoyed), I'll be Weller impressed with your Googlin' skills!

'No tears to cry' is a proper corker though, so perhaps he saves up all his joie de vivre til he writes his songs an' ting.
