What are magdalenas?
In English, 鈥榤agdalena鈥 translates as 鈥榗upcake鈥. These little cupcakes are often flavoured with lemon and have a sugary crust. How do you make magdalenas?
Ingredients:

2 tsp baking powder (Check your connection, refresh the page and try again.)
100ml olive oil (Check your connection, refresh the page and try again.)
150g self-raising flour (Check your connection, refresh the page and try again.)
150g caster sugar (Check your connection, refresh the page and try again.)
You will also need a cake tin and cases.
Important Note:
This recipe uses a hot oven so make sure you ask an adult to help you.
Method:
Get an adult to preheat the oven to 180 degrees or gas mark 4.
Beat (Check your connection, refresh the page and try again.) the eggs and sugar together in a bowl (Check your connection, refresh the page and try again.) until the mixture goes fluffy.
Slowly add in the oil and stir (Check your connection, refresh the page and try again.) the mixture until it becomes creamy then add the lemon zest.
Add the baking powder and sift (Check your connection, refresh the page and try again.) the flour into the mixture, giving everything one final mix.

Sprinkle some sugar on top and get an adult to place the tray in the oven for fifteen (Check your connection, refresh the page and try again.) to twenty (Check your connection, refresh the page and try again.) minutes.
