Regular shapes are shapes where the lengths of the sides are equal, as well as the inside angles.
Irregular shapes are not so simple; their sides and angles are not the same size.
Some examples of irregular shapes are irregular pentagons, right-angled triangles and irregular hexagons.
Tessellations
We can click shapes together 鈥 both regular and irregular 鈥 and form tessellations, to build other shapes.
Tessellations should have no spaces between the joining shapes, and the shapes should also not overlap one another.
