Counting back 5 from 9 takes you to 4.

How many blocks of cheese have they eaten altogether?
Start from 2 and count on 3 more.

The mouse has eaten 5 blocks of cheese altogether.

There are 7 pandas in the forest. 3 of them go to drink from the waterfall.
Find how many are left by counting back from 7.
7, 6, 5, 4
There are 4 pandas left in the forest
