To introduce your family you can use the verbs (to have) and (to be called).

For example:

  • - My sister is called Emily

  • - I have a mother

  • - My mother is called Emma

To talk about different members of your family in Spanish, you can use the following words:

Masculine and feminine nouns

Remember to use the correct article with the correct noun.

If it鈥檚 a masculine noun, then use and if it鈥檚 a feminine noun use , for example:

The '铆' sound

You might have noticed that some letters in Spanish have an accent, such as .

The accent is always above a vowel, as in (uncle), and it lets you know to put stress on this part of the word.

The sound is pronounced as an 鈥榚e鈥.
