When you divide something in to 2 equal parts each part is called a half. What a great trick! You were whole and now you've been divided in to 2 halves.
Quarters - that's when a whole object is divided in to 4 equal parts. He did it! Now you're divided in to 4 quarters.
So a whole can be divided in to 2 halves, or 4 quarters!
