Meet Alice and find out about her life as an illustrator and vlogger. Part of our Bitesize world of work series.
Having people purchase things I made, feels really humbling.
Alice works as an illustrator and a YouTuber. Her day to day is varied. It ranges from doing administrative tasks and working on graphic design projects to filming and vlogging for YouTube
Doing something creative as a career was always Alice's goal. She studied Media at college and then worked for two years as a photographer. She decided to go back to university and studied Graphic Design and realised that she wanted to be an illustrator and YouTuber
According to Alice, some of the challenges of being your own boss are: to motivate yourself, to prioritise your workload and to be able to manage your time well
Alice's top tip for pursuing your ideal job is to just "go for it". She has found that there'll never be a perfect time, so it's best not to wait and just do it!
Alice is both an illustrator and a vlogger. If you want to find out more about what to expect as an illustrator, check out Anh's story.
