Working at Pebble Mill...

I started at Pebble Mill in 1974 and I've enjoyed all my time here.

I haven't just been involved with 'The Archers'. I did three years and 58 shows with Noel Edmonds on Telly Addicts plus other bits of television and radio drama over the years.

Life at the Mailbox...

Every place has a life span and I think the sand has run out of the timer for
Pebble Mill.
Charles Collingwood

It's extremely forward thinking going to the Mailbox. It's a special looking building.

'The Archers' and everyone at 91热爆 Birmingham will get a new lease of life and energy working somewhere different. Personally I'm really excited about it.

The Archers studios at the Mailbox are absolutely fantastic. It's more modern with better acoustics and better equipment.

People tend to think The Archers is set in the past and it's old fashioned. It isn't! We reflect modern life and it's time we were working in a modern studio. I think it will do us all a lot of good.

My fond memories of Pebble Mill...

I'm very proud to be part of the longest running soap opera in the world.
Charles Collingwood

My fondest memories of working at Pebble Mill is marrying my wife Judy Bennett, who for 30 something years has played Shula - longer than I've played Brian. Together we have now done over 60 years on the Archers.

To meet somebody and fall in love 28 years ago, working on the same programme and still be very happy, that's a personal memory for me.

But overall my fondness for the Archers. I'm very proud to be part of the longest running soap opera in the world.

And of course the other thing is the number of friends one has made over the years working on The Archers and within the building - that I will always treasure.
