It's
finally back! Birmingham's answer to the London Eye is finally in
place in Centenary Square and will be open to the public on the
21st October 2004 until Sunday 27th February 2005.

The
Birmingham Wheel |
Centenary
Square will play host to a high-tech 60-metre observation wheel,
but as this time it is a new wheel it boasts larger glass gondolas
which are fully heated and air conditioned and with a capacity to
seat up to eight people.
Now
Brummies can get a stunning bird's eye view of the city of Birmingham
and beyond.
Jonathan
Shipley, a director of World Tourist Attractions, says: "We
are delighted to be returning to Birmingham having enjoyed such
a successful stay in Centenary Square earlier this year.
"Our new gondolas will provide commentary on the sites of Birmingham
as well as other interesting facts about the city."
If
you're not too keen on heights, fear not. You can see last years
amazing pictures of the wheel and the views across the city from
the highest point without taking your feet off the ground.
