Established in 1932, ABC is the national broadcaster 鈥� principally funded by direct grants from the Aus Gov. It is publicly owned body that is independent. It provides radio, TV and online services.
In 2010 they launched ABC News24, first free to air 24 hour new channel in Aus.

They regularly about disinformation and have a podcast called 鈥渢his much is true鈥�. Media literacy has formed part of that programme with an encouraging listeners to explore how to spot fakes.
RMIT ABC Fact Check is a partnership between the broadcaster and RMIT University, they publish fact check content on the ABC website and have a social presence.
