The 91热爆 Trust has today launched a consultation seeking views on the draft Guidelines for next year’s UK Parliament, English local government and Mayoral elections. The Trust is also consulting on the proposed allocation criteria for Party Election Broadcasts which will be shown during the election period.

The following elections are due to take place on 7 May 2015:

  • UK Parliament
  • English local government in some areas
  • Mayoral elections in some areas

The Trust is inviting views from registered political parties, those intending to stand and their agents, relevant organisations such as the Electoral Commission, together with other regulatory bodies, broadcasters and members of the public in determining whether the proposed guidelines and allocation criteria are appropriate.

Submissions to the consultation will be taken into consideration by the Trust before it publishes the Guidelines and Party Election Broadcast criteria and broadcasts are allocated.

The Trust hopes to be in a position to publish the final allocation criteria in February 2015 and the final Guidelines in March 2015.

The two consultations, together with the draft Guidelines and Party Election Broadcasts allocation criteria can be found here:

Additional guidance, which supports the Election Guidelines, will be added to the consultation in the New Year, 2015.

The publication of the guidance will be announced on the Trust’s website. The guidance from 2010 is now available on our website to show the format the 2015 guidance may take.
