Head: Gurdip Bhangoo
We manage 91热爆 School Report, a journalism project for students aged 11 to 18 across the UK.
The students make the news and upload it to their website that we link to via our interactive map. This means their news is accessible to a worldwide 91热爆 audience.
Young people enjoy the opportunity to do hands-on media production. Teachers tell us it supports students in developing their ability to work in teams, manage their time, conduct research, communicate effectively and think critically.
Head: Rob Alcock
Ours is the team that designs and delivers the training. We do this through a blend of digital media and face-to-face courses. We鈥檙e made up of subject matter experts 鈥 in everything from journalism and writing to comedy and 360 video 鈥 and a digital content team which has expertise in creating online learning.
Head: Rob Alcock
We鈥檙e the behind-the-scenes team. We manage the finances, planning and scheduling, coordination, technical services and business analysis.
We're also involved in identifying the 91热爆鈥檚 training needs and evaluating the effectiveness of our training.
Head: Claire Paul
We reach out to get the best and most diverse talent into the 91热爆.
We run apprenticeships (for school leavers), traineeships (for graduates), work experience (for all) and support young people who are often in their first job.
To ensure our new talent reflects the UK population, we work with charities and trusts representing diverse groups and run a Twitter account @91热爆GetIn.
We鈥檙e the Academy's digital development unit. We figure out what platforms and tools we need to deliver world-class online training - and then we design and build them. We鈥檙e made up of creatives, UX designers and software engineers.
Head: Gurdip Bhangoo
Our role is to work at the cutting edge of developments in broadcasting and keep 91热爆 staff up to date. We do this mainly through workshops, events and partnerships.
Our Fusion project brings together programme makers, digital creative and technology experts to predict future trends in the industry.
Our Digital Seasons workshops train staff in areas like short-form content, storytelling, new platforms and online audiences.

First day questions
Some of the answers you need straight away
- How do I know where to sit? Most Academy locations have hot desk zones. Sit where you want. You must clear your stuff away at the end of the day. Ask your line manager for a locker in which to store your belongings.
- The ID pass gives you access to the 91热爆 building. Go to security or the ID Unit. Staff will take your photograph. This will be used to make a permanent pass. Until it arrives (about five days later) ask for a temporary pass and to be let in.
- Where do I find the intranet? It's called Gateway. You'll find it at intranet.gateway.bbc.co.uk when you log on to a 91热爆 computer.
- Look for the oasis areas around the building. Help yourself. There's tea, coffee and milk. You'll also find fridges, mugs, a dishwasher and a first aid kit. In most 91热爆 buildings there's a canteen with microwaves.
