After a lot of discussion in the past week, the US has announced sanctions against the Libyan government.

US President Barack Obama signed an executive order blocking property and transactions related to the country.

Transactions involving assets of Muammar Gaddafi and some close associates were blocked. US banks have been put on alert.

Mark Mardell's asks is it too much or too little? Do you think it's an effective strategy? What response would you like to see from your country?

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon urged the body's Security Council to take "decisive action" over the Libya crisis.

And, Libya's UN envoy deserted him in dramatic scenes in New York.

Also, the evacuations continue, hundreds of sub-Saharan Africans are said to be fleeing southern Libya into Niger. Many more are stranded in Libya, where they say they are being attacked by people accusing them of being mercenaries fighting for Col Gaddafi.
We heard from Latif last night who is Ghanaian but worried for his safety in Tripoli as he felt he was targeted as a black African in Tripoli. We'll also discuss the issue today.

A lot to talk about, get in touch with your questions about Libya, Egypt, Bahrain and we will try and answer them during the hour.
