The Battle for Tripoli

| Friday, 2 Feb. 2011 | 18:00 - 19:00 GMT

Colonel Gaddafi has lost his grip on much of the country but he still seems to be in control in Tripoli. Opposition leaders are calling for major protests in the capital today, and residents say mercenaries are moving in for the final battle.

Wheres gadaffi gonna get the money for these concessions? Regeims can only give what they steal from the land and people. Or they can borrow and steal later with interest. Jo-uk

See d double standards in the western media. They refer to Gadafi鈥檚 fight to save his regime as genocide while Lauren Baabo in Ivory coast kills opposition supporters without much publicity. The west clearly want to pay Gadafi back for his earlier disobedience .

As the world passively watches the killing of Libyans by Ghadafi, I recall the world鈥檚 indifference during the Rwanda genocide. (Anyii George, Kampala).
