Escape To Victory - The film soundtrack
It was played just after the Hull City game at the Vetch field in May 2003. We had just avoided relegation out of professional football and that was the theme around the Vetch field. It was a clear example of what we went through.
In December we were six points adrift at the bottom of the table. To beat a good quality side like Hull City... In the last three months we really turned it around and we had a bit of a promotion run, and I think that theme was ideal. As soon as the game finished they played that theme.
It brings you memories because we were in the dressing room and you felt like whistling along and it was a huge relief and a good feeling. It's one of those movies that, as a kid, you really remember. There's a bit of action and a bit of football. It's a classic and it's one of those movies that you always remember with a smile on your face.
It's A Heartache - Bonnie Tyler
I really like it. It brings me great memories. Other artists play it and I try to keep a copy of every single version of that song. I'm a big fan of hers. She's from Swansea as well.
Slave To The Vibe - Aftershock
It's a tune that we've got in the dressing room. I used to listen to it before the games and it used to give you that feel good factor. It reminds me of the promotion with Swansea and my time in Spain.
Unchained Melody - The Righteous Brothers
I really like the Ghost soundtrack and this song in particular. It's one of my favourites.
Lifted - The Lighthouse Family
It's easy listening music. It's one of those that you can play and play. When I'm working from home I have this on in the background and it doesn't disturb me. It's the first song I heard of theirs. After that I got to know them.
