Climate Change Debate
Combating climate change is a challenge facing us all...but can we in Wales really make a difference? The Wales Assembly Government thinks so, and this week launched its climate change strategy, setting out how it intends to achieve its commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by three per cent, year on year. But climate change campaigners question whether the target is ambitious enough, and warn that too many factors lie outside WAG's control. In this week's live debate programme, Peter Johnson hears from the chairman of the Climate Change Commission which advised WAG on its strategy, environment minister Jane Davidson and environmental campaigners who question its effectiveness. He also meets members of the public who are already doing their bit for climate change.
