University of Glamorgan's Welsh department have posted some experimental pages on their website. There's a great animation involving building and describing a face for intermediate Welsh learners.
FIMBLES
If you've got young children, you'll love the Fimbles site. There are animated stories, things to colour, activity sheets to print - all in Welsh. Click on the Maes Porffor (purple field) link and play Bybls Lliwgar (colourful bubbles). You splatter coloured bubbles over a Fimble with your mouse to colour it in.

Top TV chef, Dudley, has a fantastic fully-bilingual zone on the S4C website. As well as the traditional Welsh recipes, there are two very bookmarkable word lists of ingredients and cooking terms which might be useful if you find yourself following a Welsh recipe.

It's estimated that 25,000 Welsh speakers live in the Welsh capital. Menter Caerdydd is compiling a database of email addresses of people in Cardiff so they can: "... promote Welsh Social Events such as play schemes, after school clubs, family activities, concerts, dramas, trips, interest clubs, job advertisements, social events and much more..." If you live near Cardiff, you can add your name to Menter Caerdydd's database.FAMOUS WELSH
Was Elvis Welsh? This site fuels the debate by claiming Presley comes from Preseli - the Welsh mountain range which is home to a church called St. Elvis! Did lawn tennis emerge from the Welsh sport Cerrig y Drudion? The first car driver was a Welshman too.
FIREMAN SAM - SAM TAN
The childrens favourite lets you choose either Welsh or English websites. Theres a fantastic tool in the Shockwave-enabled 'Storiau' section. You can make your own bespoke Welsh-language Fireman Sam children's story by clicking on "Rhowch chi a'ch ffrindiau mewn stori Sam T芒n!". You'll be prompted for the names of boys, girls, animals, foods, etc. If the prompts for the story are difficult, try the English version first. Hints: anifail anwes=pet; gwrywaidd=male; benywaidd=female When you've finished, you can print the story to read to the kids at bedtime.

This site's got nothing at all to do with the Welsh language. So what's it doing in the Catchphrase webguide? Well, as anyone who's ever slogged away at learning a language knows, learning techniques are the key to becoming a fluent speaker of a new language. Luigi lives in Hungary and he says he can show you how he learned four languages in four years. His site's full of tips about how to plan your learning, how to use your dictionary and how much attention to pay to the rules of grammar.

This new Bridgend-based online-only station has a Welsh-language programme available on demand. 'At the Heart' is presented by Steve Lloyd. To be honest, Steve's of the old 'that was, this is..' school of broadcasting, but he plays some great classics from the 80s and 90s. Worth a spin.
WELSH RUGBY SONGS
Ever wanted to sing along with Cwm Rhondda, Calon L芒n and Myfanwy? Read the words and view videos of these classics being belted out at rugby matches here on the Scrum V website.

On this site, you can download an MP3 file of someone being taught to say the placename. The learner in question is Jenny O'Brien who's a real global Welsh radio pioneer. She runs Welsh Radio International which beams English-language radio programmes about Wales around the world via shortwavein North America, Central Europe and Australasia. You can now listen to WRIon Astra Channel 832 and you can also listen to programmes on-demand, online at this site. That's where you'll find the Llanfair PG MP3 too.
