Maggi Willis

Maggi Willis

Last updated: 13 June 2011

An early passion for fashion (her dolls were definitely the best dressed!) led to a lifetime in retailing for Maggi Willis.

She has been writing Frockwatch for more years than she cares to remember and always enjoys the buzz at the competition.

"It's not just about frocks," she says, "but the way each singer presents themselves on stage. Good presentation tells you that the singer has really considered their performance."

Now a freelance writer, Maggi always enjoys Cardiff Singer. "While the singers are the new faces, they are supported by a band of regulars who certainly know the ropes and work hard to produce a top quality event.

"When we meet again after two years, we all say ''You haven't changed a bit!' Then after ten days of long hours and rushing around, we've all aged two years!"

The Cardiff audiences are always passionate about the competition which creates a great buzz in the hall. Many are snappy dressers themselves so Maggi hopes to feature some of them on the site. You have been warned!
