A daughter's love
The love between a young woman and her mother and how their faith still links them together.
"Mama, I learn everyday from your amazing smile, how a smile can turn life into a beautiful garden and how it can fight unbearable pain.
It was a message, a door to a deeper faith that pushed me to look at life with new insight.
In just two months I've finally started to listen to your advice and I even seem to copy many of your habits. Mama, I drink more water, I eat salad and fruits, I try to drink less coffee, I turn off the lights before leaving the house, I seriously think of safety and security, I love to spend time with Mama Raya like you always wanted us to, I argue less with my sisters and I don't forget my morning prayers.
Today I can feel a growing garden of your soul in mine. I learned from you how a smile can heal my pain. How much holding hands can connect mother and daughter and how it can build deeper love. How prayers can bless my days. How tears can cleanse my tired soul. How much I'm ready to change my ambitions and be a full time mother like you amazingly were. How time runs fast and life can blind and distract but only a beautiful giving heart is what truly matters.
I'm grateful for believing in the power of faith. Isn't it amazing Mama, how I can feel our souls connect through prayers and dreams a connection so much deeper than physical touch could reach? Al Hamdu lilah. Thank you God.
You were the ultimate fighter for giving and loving and inspiring despite all your pain, my hero... Mama you won over your own mortal ill body and your blessed smiling soul was set free.
Congratulations Mama."
