"Some thought I was mad. It was a big step to take." Mervyn diversifies from milking to where medicine and magic meet.

Transcript

"I didn't want to do anything else but farming, but there's always problems on dairy farms and we started having problems with the children, like eczema and glue ear and the homeopath set up down the road from us and had good results from what she was doing and I thought 'I want to learn more about this'.

We started going with all our problems because what attracted me to homeopathic medicines was that it was natural and it's safe; no side effects from it and you can't do yourself any harm if you didn't do yourself any good.

I started studying the odd remedies. It was that interesting that I put the television in the other room and spent all my spare time studying because I was learning something that I wanted to learn.

I started using them on the animals like the dairy cattle and infertility and mastitis and over the years they had good results and I always wanted to learn more and more. It started taking up more of my life.

People we're starting coming for treatment. I was getting good results and it was safe and we decided we'd give up dairy farming and let the land. Some thought I was mad, it was a big step to take, but a lot have given up milk since.

When you're dairy farming you can't go off for the day. You have to be there night and morning every day of the year. You go for years without a holiday, not much of a day off. When we started it was very unusual to be able to go off for the day and not have to worry about coming back to milk the cows.

I go out to farms if they've got problems or they've had the vet and the vet has failed and they try me as a last resort and they tend to get better!

It's just balancing the body with natural things. When someone's ill it means there is something unbalanced in his life, with his body or his food or his life has become unbalance and you're just correcting that balance.

It's been a big change from not being able to go from home to be able to travel around. I went to India for three weeks; I've never been from home for so long.

A lot of homeopaths they've worked up until their 80s or 90s, so it keeps them fit.

And farming was good training for homeopathy cause you don't have regular hours, people can be ill any time of the day and if it's something serious I'll go and visit them. Women in labour can come on and start labour in the early hours of the morning and I don't mind being up early because it's what I'm used to.

I like seeing people get better. It changes their lives."

"We too have had wonderful results from homeopathey and through our interest in this and energies in buildings, so specialise in sustainable bulds, came across the work of Johann Grander. He is a naturalist and inventer who has produced a device which treats water! It is very simple and quite simply brillient, pure water in your house from yor tap!"
Katherine.

"I have been seeing Mervyn for six weeks with regard to possibly alleviating symptoms due to allergic reactions ... After just three treatments, though not fully clear, the results have been nothing short of remarkable. This from a total sceptic who has watched the TV programmes disclaiming the treatment."
Chris James Forden, Welshpool.
