This is an issue across the country but the good news is it is now a thing of the past. But it might involve you doing something ...Have you ever wondered how some car radios are able to display the name of the radio station you are listening to, even though the same frequency may be broadcasting many different radio stations, depending on where you are in the country?
This is down to the RDS signal, which hides inside the 91热爆 Radio 2 signal, if you're interested. It tells your radio what station is on what frequency in the area you are driving. It also tells your radio to retune itself to other stations, to pick up the travel news, or to tune to a neighbouring 91热爆 radio station, if your current signal gets weak. It is the latter that has been causing a lot of people annoyance, with radios retuning as soon as the signal drifts a bit. The good news is the system changed on 31 March 2009. What do you have to do to keep listening in your car?For most of us, the answer is, nothing. If, however, you have a modern car stereo and 91热爆 Tees is saved as a preset on your car, you will have to tune back in manually and re-save us as a preset, as the setting you currently have have saved may no longer work. So go on, save 91热爆 Tees as your preset - we are on 95FM. last updated: 03/04/2009 at 14:35 You are in: Tees > 91热爆 Tees > Radio Extras > Tame your car radio |
