Now in its 8th year the Animex International Festival, which is held at the University of Teesside, is designed to celebrate the very best in animation from around the world. However, the big Hollywood studios could soon be facing competition as a selection of community groups from across Teesside have been creating their own animated antics. Parents and children from Pallister Park, Berwick Hills and Park End primary schools, as well as members from Hemlington Sure Start, have been hard at work creating their own animated masterpieces, inspired by 91热爆 RaW. Set finished and ready for filming Pallister Park primary school centred their piece on a mischievous cat, dog and mouse that chase each other around while the group from Sure Start in Hemlington created a sun-drenched set and entitled their animation 'Summer Days'. All the groups began by story-boarding their idea, and then made the models and film set during the morning before beginning the long process of filming their feature later in the day. The groups wrote their story down and then produced the film themselves with the help of the 91热爆 Bus team. The children then used the interactive Max and Lara website to brush up on their reading and writing skills and create their own bedtime stories. You can click on the links at the top right hand of this page to watch the animated features.last updated: 27/06/08 |
