Maya and Maisie from our young film crew are in the editing studio doing more of the post production work on the team's interview with World War Two veteran, Fergus Anckorn.
They have moved on now to look at how best to illustrate the interview with archive footage and photographs of Fergus from the time.
The effective use of illustration is explored and two film clips follow that use different techniques, including green screen technology. The films explore the themes of school meals and going to a dance.
The films were made by school children across the United Kingdom as part of the 91热爆's Make Film - Greatest Generation project.
Contains some scenes which younger viewers may find upsetting. Teacher review prior to use in class is recommended.
Teacher Notes
This could be used as an introduction to editing software and adding film clips.
Students could look at making a film about a topic that interests them and think about the ways they could enhance their story using pictures, titles, descriptions etc.
Get them to storyboard their ideas, as this will help when it comes to the post production process.
