Rana's a second generation immigrant - his parents came to England from Bangladesh. He used to be a chef at an Ipswich restaurant but now works as a mortgage advisor. East and West Pakistan split into Pakistan and Bangladesh in 1971 - and Rana's made a film giving us his thoughts about what it means to be a British Bangladeshi Muslim and what links him back to his parents' roots. 听听 last updated: 21/05/2008 at 14:46 Have Your SayTell us what you think of the film..
Nice to see you made the big time, Rana! Didn't know you could cook though??!! Looked really good. Enjoyed the time I worked with you in Ipswich in the estate industry.
Good film. I think making these films are good for the people of different backgrounds who live in england and have grown up in england. so they watch it and follow their own culture but importantly following Islam is great because it is obvious that Islam is a religion for the whole humankind and whoever follows it and becomes muslim that means he submits to the wills of on God, almight and compassionate. He would actually enjoy living with it. You are in: Suffolk > People > Video Nation > Mum's food still rules |
