Irish eyes definitely weren't smiling at the weekend as our Christine became the twelfth celebrity to leave the show. Having to learn two dances whilst holding down a day job had taken its toll.

We bid the lovely Christine a very fond farewell along with reigning champ Matthew. The two got on so well throughout the competition, I'm sure they'll remain great mates.

To everyone's shock, favourite Rachel found herself in the dance-off and desperately danced her heart out to stay in, wowing the judges once more. As the camera stopped rolling, a relieved Vincent was seen sobbing, literally sobbing, as Rachel consoled him. It just goes to show, once again, how much this show means, not just to us and the celebrities, but also to our professional dancers. And you have to hand it to lovable, charming Vincent, his choreography has been second to none - just fabulous. As he admitted on Saturday, he is now giving Rachel moves that are at an almost professional level and clever girl that she is, she not only copes but pulls them off with finesse - respect to the Rachel!

Lisa, meanwhile, top of the judges leader board, was visibly relieved as she had been concerned at not getting the public's vote. But, safe at the top, she and newly-engaged partner Brendan sailed through to the quarter finals. And huge congrats from all of us to Brendan, who's found himself one gorgeous lady. In true romantic style, they got engaged in Paris.

Onto Austin and that Paso! Wow and wow again, what a convincing macho matador he made. I love the choreography, particularly at the top as he performed a Joaquin Cortés style opening into a single spotlight - rugby-liscious alright!

What about that embarrassing run in with the boys in blue in training this week?! Austin and partner Erin got locked inside their local leisure centre as staff forgot they were still inside! And I'm not surprised, as they were training past 11 o' clock and had lost all track of time putting in the extra hours. As they tried to get out, the alarms went off and the police arrived to confront the would-be culprits. With two dances to learn in a week, Austin had asked if he could stay overtime and put in some extra practice. Obviously that message had not filtered through and the police were called. Luckily the two were able to explain they were only dancing and there was no breaking in involved - that's what I call dedication!

Poor Austin with his gorgeous little twin girls teething and two more girls to boot means he's been getting absolutely no sleep - literally three hours a night and for someone who's been through that for the last four years, I truly empathise! How he manages to pull off the training schedule he does as well is beyond me but I guess that's where that rugby stamina comes in handy. Time to bring out the big guns Austin me thinks- please! I'm pleading now in time for next week's quarter finals, I've missed them both!

Our judges Len and Bruno, have been newly released from their weekly commute across the pond to Los Angeles to appear on Dancing with the Stars, which has finally come to an end. It was brilliant to see them both beaming in the bar this week, knowing that on Sunday all they have to do is put up their feet with the Sunday papers - no more planes for them - I think they both need a bit of a rest.

Our celebrity audience were up for fun and games on Saturday. I got to chat to Henry "The Fonz" Winkler who's a huge fan of the show and such a sweetheart to boot. He was seen at the bar, chatting away to everyone, posing for photographs with all and sundry with a genuine smile and happy to please- now there's a gentleman. He's actually in panto - Peter Pan in Milton Keynes with our very own Louisa Lytton so he invited me and the family to see him over Christmas and I might just take him up on that offer! I used to go to panto as a kid, every Christmas and I used to look forward to it very much. So now I've got to carry on that tradition with my family, it will be great to see him in action- what a gent!

Bruce and I both have the lurgy. I've had it three weeks and counting, and I'm quite literally sick of it now - it's time to go. My voice was dangerously close to leaving me on Saturday….although I was quite enjoying the new husky levels hehe. I think Bruce might have been part relieved to shut me up for once! Ha, Just teasing!

Goodness me, it's quarter finals next week and it's still anyone's game! Who the heck can predict who will go all the way and lift that trophy - your guess is as good as mine folks, even the bookies are confused at this stage. The runners are changing on a weekly basis and no one can predict, now that's what I call a competition!
